This policy explains what information Omnitics ("we") collects through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain.
What we collect
- Contact & strategy-call requests. When you submit the contact form we collect the details you provide. That is usually your name, work email, phone number, company, and your message.
- Newsletter & resource interest. If you subscribe or ask to be notified about a resource, we collect your email address and any optional note you add.
- Free tools. When you unlock one of our free tools, such as the ICP Teardown, we collect your name, company, work email, an optional phone number and the website you ask it to research.
- Downloads. When you download a report or playbook, we collect your work email and, if you add them, your name and company.
- How you found us. When you send one of our forms, it also tells us how your browser reached this site: the page you first landed on and the date, the website that linked you here (its name only, not the full address), any campaign tags in that link, and the identifier Google Analytics gives your browser. It covers your first visit and the visit on which you send the form. Your browser keeps a note of your first visit on your device; we only use it while it is less than 90 days old, and it is replaced when you come back after that. None of this is sent to us unless you submit a form. Some forms also ask, optionally, how you heard about us.
- Basic technical data. Like most sites, our server records standard request information (such as IP address and timestamp) to operate the site and prevent abuse.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (for example pages viewed, approximate location, and device type). It sets cookies and shares this usage data with Google. You can opt out using Google's browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
- Microsoft Clarity. We also use Microsoft Clarity, which records how visitors move through our pages, including clicks and scrolling, and turns this into heatmaps and session recordings. Clarity sets first- and third-party cookies. Microsoft receives this data both to provide Clarity and for its own purposes, including Microsoft Advertising, as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can block these cookies in your browser.
- Call booking. Our contact page uses Calendly for booking calls. After you send the form, a Calendly booking calendar loads on the page. Calendly sets its own cookies, and what you enter there is collected by Calendly under its own privacy notice.
We do not run advertising or retargeting campaigns from this site. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and, if relevant, scope and deliver our services.
- To send you the newsletter or resource you asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying or emailing us.
- If you ask one of our free tools to email you a result, we send it to the work email you gave us.
- To follow up about a report, playbook or free tool you used, for example with a related note or the next edition of a report. You can ask us to stop at any time.
- To understand which channels bring us enquiries, so we know where to spend our time. We keep the Google Analytics identifier with your enquiry so we can see how you used the site before you got in touch.
- To keep the site secure and working.
We do not sell your personal information. Apart from the analytics providers named above, which use data under their own terms, we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Where it lives
Submissions are stored in our own content system on our hosting infrastructure, and new submissions may also be emailed to our team inbox. Call bookings are held by Calendly, and analytics data by Google and Microsoft. We use reasonable measures to protect what we hold and keep it only as long as needed for the purposes above.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you've shared, or to stop contacting you, at any time. Use our contact form and we'll take care of it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the business grows; the "last updated" date above will change when we do.
